Free income tax calculator for India (FY 2025-26 old & new regime), US (2025 federal brackets), and UAE. Compare regimes, see slab-wise breakdown, estimate take-home pay in real time.
A multi-country income tax calculator covering India (both old and new regimes for FY 2025-26 with age-banded exemptions, 80C/80D/HRA deductions, and Section 87A rebate), the United States (2025 federal brackets for Single and Married Filing Jointly with 401(k) and standard deduction), and the UAE (zero personal income tax with a corporate-tax explainer). Tax liability updates live as you type, with a stacked-bar visualization of how every rupee or dollar is split across slabs, and an instant Old vs New regime comparison highlighting the cheaper option.
India offers two parallel tax regimes. The new regime is the default and has revised slabs (0% up to ₹4L, 5/10/15/20/25/30% in steps up to above ₹24L) plus a ₹75,000 standard deduction and a Section 87A rebate that makes tax zero up to ₹12L of taxable income. The old regime keeps the older 0/5/20/30% slabs with age-banded basic exemption (₹2.5L below 60, ₹3L for 60-80, ₹5L for super-seniors) but lets you claim 80C (up to ₹1.5L), 80D (health insurance), HRA, home loan interest, and other deductions. A 4% Health & Education cess is added on the computed tax under both regimes.
US federal tax is progressive — your income is split across seven brackets (10/12/22/24/32/35/37%) and each portion is taxed at its bracket rate. The 2025 standard deduction is $15,000 for single filers and $30,000 for married couples filing jointly. Pre-tax 401(k) contributions reduce your taxable income (2025 limit: $23,500, or $31,000 if 50+). This calculator does not include FICA payroll taxes (7.65%), state/local income tax, or the Alternative Minimum Tax.
Maximise pre-tax retirement contributions (401(k) in the US, NPS / EPF / PPF in India), use 80C instruments like ELSS and tax-saving FDs, claim HRA if you pay rent, and don't forget 80D for health insurance premiums. For high-deduction users in India, run both regimes through this calculator before choosing — the answer changes based on your deduction profile and salary.
It depends on your deductions. The new regime has lower slabs and a higher Section 87A rebate (zero tax up to ₹12L taxable), making it better for most salaried earners with limited deductions. The old regime can still win if you fully use 80C (₹1.5L), 80D, HRA, and home-loan interest. This calculator shows both side-by-side and highlights which is cheaper for you.
These are the IRS-published 2025 federal brackets (returns filed in 2026), with the 2025 standard deduction of $15,000 (Single) and $30,000 (MFJ). State and local taxes, FICA, and AMT are not included.
Yes — the UAE imposes no personal income tax on salary or wage earners. However, since June 2023 a 9% federal corporate tax applies to business profits above AED 375,000, and a 5% VAT applies to most goods and services. Free-zone qualifying income may still be taxed at 0%.
Yes. After computing tax from the slabs (and applying the Section 87A rebate where eligible), this calculator multiplies the tax by 1.04 to include the mandatory 4% Health & Education cess that applies under both regimes.
No. It is an estimator using published slab structures and standard deductions. It does not model surcharges on very high incomes, capital gains, AMT, state/local taxes, or special exemptions. Always consult a qualified tax professional before filing.
