🪞 Aging Mirror

See how your diet is aging you. A live portrait morphs per keystroke — skin dullness, under-eye, jawline — as you drag sugar, junk, and alcohol sliders.

What is Aging Mirror?

A biological-age calculator that does what nobody else does: morph a live SVG face as you drag diet sliders. Instead of a static number from a 40-question form, Aging Mirror shows you — in real time — skin dullness, under-eye shadow, nasolabial depth, jaw softness, and hair density shifting as sugar intake, ultra-processed meals, and alcohol increase. Includes a Rewind-5-years button that resets sliders to WHO-optimal and animates your face back, a 2036 Split Card (Today / current-path / reset-path portraits side-by-side) built for sharing, a why-breakdown panel explaining telomere shortening (Leung 2014), UPF inflammation (BMJ 2024), and alcohol epigenetic aging (Rosen 2023), plus a Junk Food Damage Calculator bridge that auto-imports that tool's score.

How to Use

  1. Set your real (chronological) age with the first slider
  2. Drag sugar, ultra-processed meals, and alcohol sliders — the face morphs live
  3. Add protective factors: exercise level, sleep hours, vegetable servings
  4. Optionally import your Junk Food Damage Calculator score
  5. Tap "Rewind 5 years" to snap to WHO-optimal and watch yourself de-age
  6. Show the 2036 split card to see Today / current-path / reset-path side by side

Frequently Asked Questions

What science is the aging engine based on?

Sugar: Leung et al. JAMA 2014 (1 soda/day → ~4.6 yr telomere aging). Ultra-processed food: BMJ 2024 cohort (each +10% UPF share → ~0.4 bio-yrs). Alcohol: Rosen 2023 Mol Psychiatry (heavy drinking → 2–6 yr epigenetic aging). UCSF 2024 found that cutting 10g of added sugar per day correlates with ~2.4 biological months younger.

What's the difference between biological and chronological age?

Chronological age is how long you've existed. Biological age is how old your cells behave — measured via telomere length, DNA methylation, or AGE accumulation. Two 40-year-olds can have 10+ years of biological-age difference based on lifestyle.

Why does the face morph?

Skin is the most visible indicator of internal aging. Sugar → AGEs cross-link collagen (wrinkles). Alcohol → inflammation and dehydration (dullness). UPF → oxidative stress (under-eye shadows, texture loss). The portrait reflects aggregate internal load.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is an educational estimator. For clinical biological age, consider DNA methylation tests (e.g. Horvath/PhenoAge). Individual aging rate varies with genetics, stress, environment, and medications.

Is my data saved?

No. All calculations happen in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
